FAQ

Everything you need to know about CapyForest, from gameplay basics to advanced strategies.

Gameplay Basics

How do I play CapyForest?

Move your cursor or finger to aim where you want to drop the next animal. Tap or click to release it. When two identical animals touch, they merge into the next creature in the evolution chain. Your goal is to reach the Giant Capybara at the end of the chain!

What happens when the forest overflows?

Keep the animals below the dashed danger line. If an animal stays above this line for too long, the forest overflows and the game ends. Use power-ups like Bomb or Undo strategically to manage the space.

What are the different game modes?

Zen Mode: No pressure, pure relaxation. Play at your own pace without any time limits.
Time Attack: Race against the clock to score as many points as possible before time runs out.
Challenge Mode: Faster, harder gameplay for experienced players seeking a real test.

Scoring & Strategy

How is scoring calculated?

Each merge earns points based on the level of the animal merged. Higher-level animals give more points. Chain combos (multiple merges in quick succession) multiply your score with screen shake effects for satisfying feedback.

What's the best strategy?

Focus on creating stable stacks near the bottom of the forest. Try to keep similar animals together to enable easier merges. Don't rush—especially in Zen Mode, patience leads to better positioning and higher scores. Use power-ups wisely: Bomb when stuck, Shuffle when you need better options, Undo for mistakes.

How do I reach the Giant Capybara?

The Giant Capybara is level 14, the final evolution. You'll need to merge 14 times starting from a level 1 Chick. It takes practice and strategy, but the satisfaction of reaching it is worth the effort!

Features & Technical

Is CapyForest free to play?

Yes! CapyForest is completely free to play. No downloads, no accounts, no in-app purchases. Just open your browser and start playing.

Does it work on mobile?

Absolutely. CapyForest is optimized for both desktop and mobile devices. Touch controls are responsive and the game adapts to any screen size.

Can I play offline?

Yes! CapyForest supports offline play as a Progressive Web_APP (PWA). Once loaded, you can play without an internet connection. Your progress is saved locally in your browser.

Is my progress saved?

Your high score, language preference, sound settings, and Zen mode progress are saved in your browser's local storage. This means your progress stays on your device and isn't synced across different browsers or devices. Clearing your browser data will reset your progress.

Power-ups

What does the Bomb power-up do?

The Bomb removes a single animal from the forest, clearing space when you're stuck or need to reorganize your stack.

What does the Shuffle power-up do?

Shuffle re-deals the next three animals in your queue. Use this when the upcoming animals don't fit your current strategy.

What does the Undo power-up do?

Undo reverses your last drop, letting you fix mistakes or try a different approach. Perfect for when a drop doesn't go quite where you intended.
